Comme des Garcons, Navy Wool Twill A-Line Skirt
Title
Comme des Garcons, Navy Wool Twill A-Line Skirt
Description
A-Line below-the-knee skirt in navy blue wool cavalry twill. The entire garment is made of gores cut and sewn the bias, in alternating wrong-side-to-wrong-side, and right-side-to-right-side seam, which create texture and rhythm. Waist is devoid of waistband with edges left raw with the bias cut preventing the fabric from fraying. Grosgrain ribbon is sewn along the waistline inside the garment to counter the stretch of the bias. Hemline is left raw but reinforced by a thin strip of black woven fusible interfacing fused and top-stitched, placed on the inside of the garment. Garment is closed by an invisible zipper running along the left hip.
