André Laug, Gray and Antique Ivory Silk Dress

Description

Grey and antique ivory alternating wide striped silk jacquard shift dress layered over knife pleated skirt of same fabric, bracelet length sleeves with two short darts at sleeve cap, shift is mid-thigh length with inverted box pleats at front shoulder dart position and open patch pockets two stripes wide and matched to shift stripes, back shoulder darts are stitched at juncture of stripes and therefore not noticeable, shift is fully lined in white, skirt is attached to a silk layer which hangs loose from the neck and armhole lines, there are two zippers, the inner zipper is nylon and the outer zipper has very fine metal teeth, one hook serves both zips, shoulder pads include tape and snap bra strap holders

Good condition. Some tiny holes in shift lining near back seam. Shift hem loose near center back. The label indicates this piece was sold at Neiman Marcus. Item was donated in honor of donor's mother, Ann Tuck Williams.
