Carolyne Roehm, Navy Blue Silk Chiffon Floor-length Gown
Title
Carolyne Roehm, Navy Blue Silk Chiffon Floor-length Gown
Description
Navy blue floor-length dress with beaded bodice, and trompe-l'oeil cardigan embellished between princess seams with alternating horizontal rows of white acrylic beads, white acrylic pearls, and silver sequins. Vertical pleats run along the bodice and skirting, but the skirting pleats are sewn shut from waist to below the hip, then released. The skirting is lined with plain navy silk chiffon, while the rest of the fashion fabric has a subtle window-pane pattern opened in meticulous work of pulled thread.
