Good condition. Scattered holes throughout fabric. A tuck has been taken midpoint around the circumference of skirt to shorten the length. Tucks have been taken at the waistband to decrease the waist size. Possible sewing project by a student due to the irregular construction techniques, which have caused the petticoat to be slightly misshapen.

Excellent condition. Poem excerpt embroidered on slip from Alfred Lord Tennyson, "And o'er the hills and far away, Beyond their utmost purple rim, Beyond the night," from "The Departure" from "The Daydream."
Good condition. Steel hoops have rusted to the canvas casing. Length does not indicate height of wearer. Hoops slightly misshapen from wear. Laces do not match, which indicates they have been replaced at some point in this garment's history.
